What qualifies as a “clean” book?

  • No profanity. It is okay if your book “tells” that someone swore rather than “shows”. (For example: He cursed under his breath.)
  • It must include good morals. Since ReadingClean prefers Christian books, we hold to the Christian beliefs. The books should not promote: underage drinking, drug abuse, sex, violence, etc.
  • It is completely fine if your book deals with these issues in a way that leads to the truth. In fact, it is recommended. These are the kind of books that teenagers need: stories that doesn’t water down the issues that they deal with, yet presents them in a way that does not promote sin.
